Day 1 - Negombo

Arrive and transfer to Negombo, a picturesque coastal town renowned for its beautiful beaches and vibrant fishing culture. Spend your day at leisure, allowing yourself to fully unwind and soak in the island’s natural beauty.

Visit Sinharaja Rain Forest, Sri Lanka’s last remaining lowland rainforest renowned for its exceptional biodiversity. This verdant expanse is home to an incredible array of flora and fauna, including rare and endemic species. As you explore the lush trails, you’ll have the chance to observe a variety of bird and animal species. 

In the morning, transfer to Udawalawe. Upon arrival, visit the Elephant Transit Home, where you’ll gain insights into the conservation efforts dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned elephant calves. In the afternoon, enjoy an exhilarating safari in Udawalawe National Park, renowned for its large population of wild elephants and diverse wildlife.

Farmers Lunch – Get the opportunity to taste the best of country cooking in a chena. Your host will show you around and take you a short trek before lunch. Then enjoy a typical Sri Lankan rice and curry lunch followed by desert which consists of seasonal fresh fruits or local curd and treacle.

Immerse yourself in a full day of exploration in Yala National Park, a premier destination renowned for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Begin your day with an early morning safari to catch the park’s wildlife at their most active. Yala is famed for its significant population of Sri Lankan elephants and leopards.

Rekawa – The best time to visit is between 7 pm & 3 am when Sea Turtles come ashore to nest. You can see Green turtle, Loggerhead, Leatherback, Olive Ridley and Hawksbill, the famous 05 speacis. Sea Turtle nesting occurs throughout the year.

Set out on a thrilling whale-watching excursion to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitats. As you embark on a boat tour, you’ll have the opportunity to observe some of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring giants, including blue whales, humpback whales, and sperm whales.
